TextOnTap team consists of a carefully selected group of PR professionals,
writers, journalists, broadcasters, designers, photographers, event
specialists, advertising, marketing and new media experts. For each client we put together a team that represents the optimum blend of sectoral expertise and experience to meet their particular needs. Our core consultancy team consists of:
LOUISE JAGGS MCIPR -
CIPR ACCREDITED PRACTITIONER
- 25 years' writing, editorial, PR, sales and marketing experience
- NUJ member from 1985 - 1996
- member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR)
- one of the first 30 CIPR members to be awarded the coveted CIPR Accredited Practitioner status
- committee member and press officer for the CIPR's Education and Skills Group.
Louise's PR experience encompasses both business to business and business to consumer PR across a wide range of sectors including: education; training; skills; e-learning; broadcast; design and creative; retail; leisure; IT; utilities; manufacturing; facilities management; publishing; leisure; franchising; commercial cleaning; finance and human resources. She has worked as account director - including overseeing and implementing internal and external communications, media liaison, crisis and issues management, speechwriting and event management - on a variety of high profile accounts such as HSBC; SGS; Country Style Inns; Bel and The Dragon; Jani-King; X.HLP; Thames Water; and the BBC.
Over the past 10 years, Louise has specialised in the education and skills sector and has built up a wealth of experience in post-16 education, workplace training and development, and lifelong learning. During this time, she has worked with the Department for Education and Skills; The Learning and Skills Council; The Sector Skills Development Agency; The Quality Improvement Agency for Lifelong Learning; The University Vocational Awards Council, Skillset; Proskills; Semta; Creative and Cultural Skills; Skills for Health; HE at Work; SkillSoft; Books24x7; The Graduate Apprenticeship National Network; the Employer Champions Group; NTO National Council; MetSkill; and the Casting Skills Centre.
Having worked as a journalist herself, Louise understands the media and has built-up a strong network of in-house and freelance contacts across a variety of publications and sectors with a particular emphasis on media and stakeholders within the education and skills sector.
CLAIRE DE LA HAYE MCIPR
Claire is a communications and marketing professional with 15 years' experience in the education and skills sector and a proven track record of planning and implementing marketing strategies across the full spectrum of marcomms media. This includes specific experience in campaign development and management; developing key strategic and stakeholder relations; event production; media profile building and website development. Claire has successfully led a diverse range of marketing and communications programmes within organisations in the skills and education sectors. Previous roles include: Publicity and Administration Officer at the University of London; External Relations manager at NTO National Council; HE Communications and Policy Manager at NTO NC/DfES and Communications Manager at MetSkill.
Immediately prior to joining TextOnTap, Claire was Marketing Manager at Semta where she was responsible for:
- leading a total rebrand of the organisation and the implementation of the new brand across marcoms (new website, new literature, new newsletter etc.) and all areas of the business
- recruiting and developing a new marketing team
- developing/launching a new Semta 'Employer Champions' campaign as an integral
- part of new brand identity, to present employers as the voice of Semta in all PR
- launching the National Skills Academy for Manufacturing - a major event which generated extensive PR coverage (Today Programme, Local BBC News, Radio 5, FT opinion piece, trade press).
STEWART WILSON
Stewart is responsible for all things digital at TextOnTap - from overseeing the consultancy's own online musings through Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn et al, to monitoring online dialogue about our clients, their stakeholders and their areas of interest. In his spare time he makes sure that our systems are bang up-to-date and running smoothly.
CAROL COOPER
Carol is a highly experienced project manager with strong events planning, co-ordination and production skills. Having worked in a project management capacity for over 20 years with senior level employers in the both public and private sectors, Carol now supports events programmes for TextOnTap's clients - bringing her scrupulous attention to detail to bear across a range of events, from small workshops, consultations and seminars to major summits and conferences.
FIONA MOUNTAIN
Fiona heads up TextOnTime, the copywriting arm of TextOnTap. An award winning historical novelist and journalist, Fiona currently has four novels published in the UK and abroad and countless articles to her name in national and regional newspapers. In addition to her journalistic background, Fiona is a consummate PR professional and highly skilled at media relations.
SOPHIE CHAMINGS
Sophie has been part of the TextOnTap team for three years. She provides essential PR campaign support for the consultancy's account directors as well as overseeing all press coverage and evaluation and measurement. A natural communicator, Sophie has forged excellent relationships with clients, media and specialist associates. Prior to joining TextOnTap,
Sophie worked in recruitment, where she honed her interviewing skills and ability to draw out relevant information. These skills, coupled with her degree in
communications, make her a natural for a PR role. Sophie has recently
joined the CIPR as an associate and is working towards full membership
through a continuing professional development programme.
JOSIE MATTOCK
Josie joined TextOnTap in mid-2008 having cut her PR teeth as an integral part of the communications team at Cheltenham Ladies College (CLC). With eight years' experience in the education sector under her belt - both at CLC and at the University of Gloucestershire - Josie has honed her writing and communications skills. At CLC she was responsible for editing the College's magazine and through the press releases and articles she has successfully placed in target media, Josie has helped increase the profile of the Ladies' College worldwide.
ELIZABETH LAKER
Elizabeth is TextOnTap's generation 'Y' representative and specialises in maximising social media for our clients. A consummate networker and communicator, Elizabeth helps ensure that our campaigns have appeal to younger audiences where appropriate. Her other talents lie in conceiving and planning promotional events.

BELLENDEN PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Bellenden is a respected, independent agency providing public affairs, planning communications and public relations, with a specialism in the education and skills sector. The Bellenden Public Affiars team includes a wide range of consultants who combine years of political experience with sound business acumen and infectious enthusiasm. ANNE NICHOLLS MCIPR
Anne is a senior PR/communications professional with over 20 years’ experience at both operational and strategic levels within the public and not for profit sectors. Anne specialises in education, health, disability and the arts and has an in depth knowledge of post 16 education and training. Anne also has a background in journalism, having written numerous lifestyle features for women’s magazines and educational features for the national press. Prior to becoming a PR practitioner Anne was as a college lecturer. Her achievements include:
- setting up an integrated marketing/PR operation for London College of Communication with a strong focus on new media
- planning and implementing the communications strategy for the launch of the Quality Improvement Agency for Lifelong Learning
- raising the profile of the Learning and Skills Development Agency, positioning it as a leading authority on post-16 education and training
- running successful health campaigns to highlight the shortage of occupational therapists and improve patient-GP relationships
- leading a high-profile awareness campaign on learning disability for a national charity
- launching and editing two education magazines –Furthering Education and Open Learner
- setting up and running the first press office for City & Guilds.
RICHARD INGHAM
As a regular
contributor to the Guardian - and editor of Lifelong Learning News for
more than nine years - Richard has built up a wealth of contacts across
the education and skills sector. Richard's in-depth knowledge of the sector has proved valuable
throughout a long and varied career, working with organisations such as
the National Institute of Continuing Adult Education (NIACE); the Workers
Educational Association (WEA); the Department for Education and Skills
(DfES); Bristol NHS Trust and the Adult Basic Skills Strategy Unit.
HARRIET POWELL
Harriet is an
accomplished writer, PR practitioner and researcher. Her PR career spans
more than 20 years, followed by a four-year stint as retail editor for
Conde Nast Publications - publishers of Vogue, House & Garden, World
of Interiors, Tatler, Brides, GQ, Vanity Fair and Traveller. With a
particularly strong background in publishing, travel, education and the
arts, Harriet's PR experience encompasses both large and small agencies
where she has handled clients such as the Times Higher Education
Supplement, Aurum Press, Heinemann, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, the
British American Arts Association, Culpeper and IT research specialists,
Information Research Services. In addition to being in demand for
her PR and writing talents, Harriet is a sought after market researcher -
skilled at testing public opinion towards a variety of topics including
Government social policy, and consumer products and services.

Advertising agency, ADZ Media, shares TextOnTap's philosophy of keeping it simple and cutting to the chase. Located in Whitefield, Manchester; ADZ offers a wide range of services to a diverse client base. They get our vote because - as well as being brilliant creative thinkers - they also provide TextOnTap with hot desk and meeting facilities to help us service our clients based in the North West.
ANGELA LILLEY
A member
of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Angela has extensive experience
across all marketing disciplines. She now focuses on event management in the fields of education, training
and charity fund-raising. She also helps training providers to develop and
market exclusive training courses and coaching.
When required, Angela works with TextOnTap on client events at every level; from the management of an entire project - involving initial planning through to post-event analysis - to help and advice with specific aspects of an event.
CLAIRE MALONE
Claire is a senior direct marketing practitioner with strong
campaign planning and project management skills.
A highly
proficient communicator, Claire works with TextOnTap on direct response
and new media campaigns - from strategic initiation to results analysis.
Her experience covers a number of not for profit organisations and a wide
range of sectors - including financial services and telecommunications.
TIM WATSON - PRIZE BRAND CONSULTING
A brand consultant with more than 20 years' experience in brand creation and communications, Simon was previously a director of the international brand agency, Attick and the founding UK principal of Duffy Brand Design. Tim now specialises in providing a high level of brand strategic consultancy to help organisations get maximum benefit from their brand - whether it already exists and requires a face-lift or needs establishing.
Tim's previous clients have included Nike, MTV, Skoda, Starbucks, Innocent, United Airlines and BT. His executional work covers brand identify, communications, customer journey analysis and brand internalisation.
SIMON TURNER - SPIRAL COMMUNICATIONS
Creative design is the core function at Spiral Communications - whether that be for marketing collateral, advertising or interactive media. From single campaigns through to brand development and implementation, the creative teams at Spiral pride themselves on being able to deliver top quality design at every level. Supporting the creative team is a highly regarded project management system, which ensures the quality of work is matched by the quality of customer service.
DAVID CHAUNDY - FEVERPITCH
A graphic
designer who always manages to make any job look slick and professional.
David has 20 years hands-on experience of design and print and has worked
for a number of blue-chip companies including the BBC, BT, TSB, NatWest,
Abbey National, Cap Gemini, SkillSoft, Citroen, NMB Heller and Metro Rod. David is
highly skilled at designing all types of business communications, from
exhibition materials to brochures, newsletters and annual reports.
GRAHAM FLACK - QUADRANT

Graham is a PR Week award-winning press and PR
photographer with 22 years experience, during which he has photographed
thousands of people from drain experts down a sewer to Arab shepherds in
the Kahib Desert.
Highly sought after for his unwavering ability
to capture superlative shots, Graham works regularly for Barclays, Dixons,
BT, EMI, Morgan Stanley, the BBC, Alliance and Leicester, Halifax,
Endsleigh Insurance, Office Angels, Bank of Scotland, Scottish Equitable,
