Our philosophy
Before Louise set up TextOnTap she undertook research amongst the marketing departments of around 50 organisations to find out what they really wanted from a PR consultancy. Here's some of the feedback she received:
"We want results."
"More leads."
"I want to see more bang for my bucks."
"A consultancy with a strategic approach that helps me to deliver my objectives."
"Media coverage."
"I'm fed up with PR people promising the earth at the pitch and then failing to deliver."
"I want to know that the senior person who pitches and wins my business will actually be the person handling it."
"I'd like to find a consultancy that cares about our business as much as we do."
"A consultancy that just gets on with it and appreciates that I don't have time to hold their hand. PR is only a small part of my overall job function."
"A consultancy that adopts an integrated approach to PR. Dovetailing activity into other marketing strategies."
"One that takes the trouble to understand what we're about."
"An account team that's proactive rather than just reactive."
"I just want to get our name out there and feel that I'm getting good value for money."
The responses Louise received confirmed her own belief - that many organisations want more than they're currently getting from PR. Louise took this feedback and incorporated it within the TextOnTap philosophy. The result is a consultancy which is:
- exclusively made up of senior PR and marketing professionals
- client focused
- results driven
- strategic
- supportive
- motivated
- creative and proactive
- aware of and involved in each client's business
- keen to maximise budget
- adept at integrating PR activity into other marketing strategies
- good at communicating
- able to work effectively without putting extra pressure on the client
- happy to share knowledge and work alongside existing suppliers
- highly effective at gaining media coverage.
"We measure success by what we achieve on behalf of our clients" says Louise. "Our aim is to operate as an extension of an organisation's marketing function - immersing ourselves in a business and its needs so that we are better positioned to support marketing professionals and make their lives easier at the same time. It's all about delivering to agreed objectives".
